This just in! The 43rd Southside Lectures are just 43 days away! In six short weeks, we will be treated to another feast of spiritual food and fellowship. In that regard, this special and highly anticipated week will be like the other 42 that preceded it.
Since 1980, this church has hosted four days of gospel preaching, spirited congregational singing, and dignified worship every summer, save 2020. Egypt is a part of the Bible world from Genesis to Revelation. More than 500 times one will read references to this religion and nation. The first occurrence is in Gen. 10:6 when the generations of the sons of Noah are listed and Mizraiam (some translations read Egypt) is there among the sons of Ham. Psalm 105:23 refers to Egypt as the land of Ham. Egypt is a transliteration of the Hebrew word Algypton. And we still call it Egypt today.

Brethren often talk about “the five steps of salvation,” in reference to man’s part in his response to the gospel. Although there is value to this concise list, the Bible never speaks of “The Five Steps Of Salvation” as it is typically used today.
