My oldest daughter recently said to me in a passing comment, “Joy is a choice”. At the time, she stated it so casually, so matter-of-factly, that I nearly missed the weight of it. God has made it possible for me to be new in Christ. "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new" (2 Cor. 5:17). The apostle Paul wrote to the churches in Galatia, 5:16-17, “But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.
