Advent Day Sixteen: Sing & Shout!
Back in Zephaniah, God told the people to sing and shout! Why? Because Jesus was coming. I love that God wanted His people to rejoice, even in their waiting, because what they waited for was absolutely on its way. No, they couldn't see it, but every child born was one child closer to the boy King that would soon change the whole world.

Advent Day Fourteen: I Am Your God
We are like the sheep waiting for someone to tend to us, and throughout scripture, from the beginning to the very end, God's promises show us that the one we are waiting for is always Him.

Advent Day 13: Ready To Rejoice
Has the season of death destructed so much of your life that you are unable and unprepared to rejoice for the good works of God? Have you taken so many losses this year that you are not ready to win more battles for the Lord? After all, don't we sing "Oh victory, in Jesus!" My prayer for YOU and ME is to remain steadfast. In this world, we WILL have trouble; Jesus told us so. But my Bible also says, “rejoice always.” In this season and out of season, through the love and life of Christ, position your heart to be ready to rejoice.

Advent Day 11 & 12: He Kept Silent
Sure, like Jesus, people will misunderstand your character, your mission, and ultimately your call, but maybe we should all say less, and when the time for understanding comes, God will make all things known.

    Solomon

As the season of gift giving approaches, we hear people asking the question “What gift would you like this year?”  Usually this inquiry comes from parents or grandparents and it is usually addressed to the youngsters among us.  But in I Kings 3:5-15 we find the account a young man, Solomon, who at no more than 18 finds himself being asked by God, “What shall I give you?”

Think on that for a moment. The creator of the universe asking you what would you like from Him. What would be your response?  Well, Solomon, the third son of King…

    Specks and Logs

A survey on teen ethics asked nearly 30,000 high school students about their moral standards and behavior. Some of the results: 25% admitted to stealing from parents, relatives or friends during the past year; 33% said they had shoplifted; and 64% said they had cheated on at least one test. But most interesting of all, 77% of those students said they believe they are “better than most people” when it comes to doing the right thing!

Whether teens or adults, it’s easy to be blind to our own faults. And even when…
