The Bible begins with these words, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” There are many people in the world who do not believe that statement. Some say God does not exist, and therefore, the Bible cannot be His Word. Some may even argue that the Bible is not scientifically accurate and therefore has no merit. However, whenever the Bible makes a statement relating to a scientific principle, it is completely accurate. Let us notice some examples of the harmony between science and the Bible.

During our recent study of I Samuel, we noticed how Eli’s sons did not know the Lord (2:12). We also saw that Samuel’s sons, Joel and Abijah, did not walk in their father’s way (8:3). The question then becomes why? Were Eli and Samuel not the father they ought to be? Were they raised right and yet still not faithful to the Lord? What caused them to stray from God?
These questions are very similar questions we see today. When you look at couples who are very strong and faithful to God, yet their children are not, we begin to wonder what happened to cause them…

Tuesday, March 3, 2020, is a day that will be forever etched in our collective memory. Around 2:00 a.m., in the darkness of the night, mother nature unleashed her wrath as an EF-4 tornado touched down and ran for several miles along Highway 70 through Putnam County. This terrible storm left so much tragedy in its wake. It left behind broken houses, broken bones, and broken hearts as at least 18 people from Putnam County perished and scores of others were injured.
