    The Disbelief Of Shame

Have you ever told someone that they “ought to be ashamed of themselves”? Or maybe you’ve had someone tell you, that “you ought to be ashamed of yourself”. Between the two, the answer is likely “YES” for everyone.

The fact is that sometimes we should be ashamed. When an adult is caught cheating on their taxes, or a child is caught cheating on a test... shame is well-placed. Those people “ought to be ashamed.”

But sometimes we can have misplaced shame and be ashamed of things that we shouldn’t be. An Olympic runner from a small country, who tries his best…

    Pray Without Ceasing
How often do you pray? How long do you pray when you do pray? Have you ever given much thought to these things?

As Christians we are commanded to be a praying people: "Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God" (Phi 1. 4: 6).

So, it is clear that we are to pray. But how often and for how long? "Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks: for this is the will or God … " (1 Thess. 5:16-18). "Without ceasing" must…

    The Culture of No Consequences
In the beginning, the Lord blessed man with a paradise garden to keep, trim, and enjoy. Only one prohibition was mentioned. Adam and Eve were not to eat of the "tree of the knowledge of good and evil" (Gen. 2:17). If they ate, they would lose their place in the garden and forfeit their right to the "tree of life." They would lose their lives and their special relationship with the Lord. This was the consequence. Sadly, they ate of the prohibited tree and paid the consequences.

Have you noticed the singular lack of consequences in almost every system…

    ARE ALL RELIGIONS EQUAL?

    ARE ALL RELIGONS EQUAL?
    (By Mike Baggett)

Men say many things which God does not say. Man says that Judaism, Christianity and Islam are just religions that teach basically the same things and are all headed to the same place in the afterlife. Does God view these religions as equal and all headed to heaven?

Those who throw out such careless remarks are not likely very serious about their religion or about going to heaven themselves. To say that Judaism, Christianity and Islam are religions with the same goals is to…
